Headstart: Wikipedia

Sherlock extracts word patterns from Wikipedia pages and uses them to build an index of the key ideas found in those pages.

That enables users to explore topics visually,  to adjust the level of detail, and to see when patterns occur on multiple pages. 

Patterns are presented in an Observable notebook, similar to previous explorations of text which is open source and ready for further refinement.

How the features get into the Atlas

Topics are introduced to by mining Wikipedia indexes en masse, and expanded upon by user exploration. If you think the index needs better coverage in a particular area then you can help right here. ( requires Google SSO ).
